With our À La Carte care option, you can access Sprouted Bean’s thoughtful, high-quality pediatric services without a monthly membership. You’ll pay per visit at our standard direct patient care rates and a one-time registration fee to join our practice. While this option does not include ongoing member perks or discounts, you’ll still receive the same relationship-based, family-centered attention our members enjoy. À La Carte care is ideal for families who prefer to pay as they go, are exploring Sprouted Bean for the first time, or only need occasional visits, consultations, or second opinions.
Although À La Carte care doesn’t come with member benefits like discounted rates or telehealth kits, it still gives you full access to the personalized, relationship-driven care that defines the Sprouted Bean experience.
* One-time registration fee of $115 is still required for non-membership families

FAQs
What makes your practice unique?
Sprouted Bean Pediatrics and Wellness was created with the same heart and soul that out-of-hospital midwifery care is grounded in. We believe that you have your child’s best interest in mind. Our team is hand-picked to bring a diverse, autonomous philosophy to every aspect of your child’s care. Bias has no place within this practice.
Will you have a parent portal similar to mychart?
Great question. We’ve put a lot of thought into creating a functional and user-friendly experience that truly supports families. Our goal is to make accessing care and managing your child’s health as simple and seamless as possible. Through our beautiful app feature, parents can view their child(ren)’s full medical history, keep track of medications, securely message providers, manage documents, and make payments—all in one place. It’s a streamlined, modern way to stay connected to your child’s care team. With just a few taps, everything you need is at your fingertips.
Do you see children with special needs?
Yes, we absolutely welcome and care for children with special needs at Sprouted Bean Pediatrics & Wellness. Our direct patient care model is particularly well-suited for children with developmental, behavioral, or complex medical needs, as it enables longer visits, fosters deeper relationships, and provides more individualized support. We take the time to understand each child’s unique strengths and challenges, working closely with families to create care plans that are thoughtful, flexible, and rooted in trust. Whether your child needs coordination with specialists, support services like occupational or speech therapy, or simply a provider who listens and adapts—we’re here to walk with you every step of the way. Inclusivity and accessibility are at the heart of what we do.
Can I still use my insurance for labs, imaging, or specialists?
Yes. While Sprouted Bean Pediatrics & Wellness does not bill insurance for our services, many of our families successfully use their insurance coverage for outside services like labs, imaging, and specialist visits. We’re happy to provide referrals and documentation to support coordination of care, and we’ll always help guide you toward options that fit your family’s needs—whether that’s using your insurance network or accessing affordable self-pay rates. Our goal is to make sure your child gets the right care at the right time, even beyond our walls.
Do you offer a delayed vaccine schedule?
We believe parents/guardians have the right to choose what they feel is best for their child. We strongly believe in providing education that dynamically empowers you. We want to remove fear and always provide transparency.
Will you do in-home appointments and for who?
Yes, Sprouted Bean Pediatrics & Wellness does offer in-home visits for families who need a more accessible care option. These visits are primarily reserved for newborns from birth to 4 months and for children with complex medical or developmental needs. We recognize that early postpartum recovery, transportation challenges, or overstimulation can make clinic visits difficult. In-home care allows us to meet families in their own space, where children are most comfortable. These appointments are limited and offered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the need and the provider's availability.
What happens if my child gets sick after hours?
If your child gets sick after hours, we’ve got you covered. As part of our direct patient care model, members have access to a secure messaging platform and an on-call provider line for urgent concerns outside of regular clinic hours. We ask that non-urgent messages be sent through the health portal and understand they may be addressed within 1–2 business days. For urgent issues, families can reach out through the designated on-call number and tag their message as “urgent” to ensure a timely response. If the concern is life-threatening or an emergency, we always advise calling 911 or going directly to the nearest emergency room. Our goal is to provide peace of mind—day or night—so families never feel alone when navigating their child’s health.
Do you update the Wisconsin Vaccine registry?
Absolutely! It is essential for any of our families who have children receiving vaccines that this step is provided. This is an additional expense that we take on in our practice to create continuity of care.
Does Sprouted Bean accept insurance?
We do not bill or accept insurance—Sprouted Bean Pediatrics & Wellness operates as a direct patient care (DPC) practice. This means we work directly with families, not third-party payers, allowing us to provide more time, personalized attention, and relationship-centered care without the limitations of insurance-driven systems. By removing the middleman, we can focus fully on your child’s health and your family’s needs. Many families with insurance still choose our model because it offers a level of access, continuity, and responsiveness that traditional models often can’t. While we don’t submit insurance claims, we’re happy to provide receipts that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
Do you offer vaccines?
Currently, Sprouted Bean Pediatrics & Wellness does not administer vaccines in-house. However, we deeply understand the importance of timely immunizations. We are actively working to partner with a specialized program that will allow us to offer vaccines to both Medicaid-covered and uninsured families. Our goal is to make vaccination access seamless, affordable, and aligned with our holistic, relationship-based care model. In the meantime, we coordinate closely with local health departments and trusted community partners to ensure that your child receives the necessary immunizations without disruption. We’re committed to expanding this offering in a way that supports all of our families—regardless of insurance status
