Sprout Milk Depot and Dispensary
Sprout Milk Depot
At Sprouted Bean, we believe that nourishment is more than food—it’s connection, healing, and survival. That belief is at the heart of our partnership with the Mother’s Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes. By becoming an official milk bank drop-off location, we’re able to support vulnerable infants—especially preemies and medically fragile babies—with safe, screened, donor breast milk when it’s needed most.
This partnership reflects everything we stand for: equity in access, honoring the power of human connection, and supporting families through every twist and turn of the early parenting journey. It’s about showing up for each other, especially when life feels uncertain. Whether you’re a parent in need or a lactating person with extra to give, we’re here to help make that connection possible.
Every donation tells a story of hope, generosity, and life-giving care—and we’re proud to be a part of it. If you’re interested in becoming a milk donor. Learn more and how to donate here.
Sprout Milk Dispensary
At Sprouted Bean Pediatrics & Wellness is proud to serve as an official milk dispensary through our partnership with the Mother’s Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes. This partnership is rooted in our deepest “why”—to stand in the gap for families and babies who need more than medicine. Donor human milk can be life-saving, especially for premature or medically fragile infants, and now families can access safe, pasteurized donor milk right from our office when breastfeeding isn’t possible or supply is low.
This isn’t just about nutrition—it’s about equity, dignity, and compassion in action. We believe no family should be left without options during the most vulnerable moments of their parenting journey. By offering donor milk locally, we’re extending a lifeline of support, helping babies thrive, and building a village of care around every child.
If you’re a lactating parent with extra milk to share, you can help nourish another baby in need.
Why Your Donation Matters
-
Donor milk provides critical nutrition to premature and medically fragile infants who may not have access to their own parent’s milk. Every ounce helps a baby survive and thrive.
-
Not every parent can produce enough milk—and systemic barriers often make access more complicated for Black, Brown, and low-income families. Supporting milk donation helps level the playing field.
-
Donating milk or funds supports local families, through a care model built on trust, access, and shared responsibility. It’s one parent helping another—right here in our community.
-
NICU stays, illness, birth trauma, adoption, and loss can all impact a family’s feeding journey. Donor milk offers a gentle, life-affirming alternative when families need it most.
-
Milk donation isn’t just about nutrition—it’s about human connection. At Sprouted Bean, we see every ounce as part of a larger story: one family showing up for another. It’s the kind of care that can’t be measured in milliliters—only in love, trust, and community.
-
Milk is more than food—it carries immunity, hormones, healing, and connection. Supporting donor milk honors the sacredness of this gift and ensures it reaches those who need it most.
